The weather is chilly but not near as cold as in Michigan. The sun is peeking through overcast skies. Birds are chirping The breeze is blowing through the trees. My chair is placed in a corner to give me a view of a beautiful jungle like environment outside of the screened in porch. Vacation has begun! There was a lot of stressful tasks completed at work, crazy drive to my destination, and over 24 hours of no sleep that got me to my restful state. This morning I woke to a good night's sleep, a quiet morning, and time to relax while I do my Bible study. A few deep breaths are what this Martha is in need of. My email notifications are all blocked, my phone is set to priority calls only, and my laptop is not in use at this time. My phone is only for pleasure. No work allowed. Hello Lovely Ladies! Part of my Martha-ness is that I am a planner. All my jobs have to do with planning. I use calendars and to do list to make sure I am as effective as I can be. Planning is a constant. There is always something to be done. There is always one more thing to add to the list. It seems as though there is too much to do and not enough time to do it. Do you know what I mean? As Marthas we are forever thinking of the future. What needs to be done next...then after that...then after that...what about after that.
